AIPE is Asia's premier political economy program run by the Fund for American Studies, Georgetown University, and the University of Hong Kong. Based in Hong Kong, the Institute offers a unique opportunity for students from Asia and the U.S. to delve into serious political and economic issues facing their countries. As the financial center of Asia and as a successful free-market economy, Hong Kong is the perfect setting to bring together students to discuss these issues. AIPE participants critically analyze the benefits of open economies and societies in a rigorous academic setting and participate in stimulating lectures given by the region's most esteemed experts. This summer, AIPE will be held from July 10 – August 1, 2009.


The final admissions deadline for students from the People's Republic of China is January 15, 2009. For all other applicants the early admissions deadline is January 31, 2009 and the final admissions deadline is March 15, 2009. Please encourage qualified students to apply for AIPE by the early deadline so that they can receive special admissions and scholarship consideration!
